The PV Experts Network is Expanding!
Potsdam, August 18th 2011. The network of PV Experts founded in March of 2009 by a group of leading European PV specialists continues to grow and expand. Since EXXERGY GmbH joined the group in May 2011, a number of other potential members have expressed interest in collaboration.
“We plan to soon take on new members from South Korea and the USA”, reports PV Experts President Thomas Schmidt of TST-C Consulting. By enhancing its global orientation and broadening its scope of supply and services to cover everything from system integration to energy and management consulting, the PV Experts group is significantly boosting the market opportunities it can offer for all of the network’s members. Working in close collaboration, the network is now planning to launch substantial activities in Central and South America.
Of course, this expansion not only benefits the network itself, but first and foremost the clients it serves: “We are continuously developing our service portfolio and can boast decades of experience and expertise in the field of PV production”, explains Thomas Schmidt. “So we mean it when we say: We know Solar!”
Besides providing consultation work, the PV Experts are also strong in the field of further education and training. “This is our contribution to achieving the global breakthrough in the PV industry”, says Schmidt when asked what motivates network members here. Given the success of their specialist workshops, seminars and lectures (at RENC/TU Berlin and German chambers of commerce abroad), the PV Experts are looking to intensify their training and education activities. In addition to their workshop series on module production, a further workshop is currently being prepared on the topic of “Value-for-Money PV Production in Europe (Quality vs. Quantity)”.
Another major goal for 2012 will be to optimize global material sourcing by establishing group purchasing organizations among small and medium size PV manufacturers.
