Renate Zager

Renate Zager completed an Apprenticeship as a clerk and then successfully completed her training at the Academe as a specialist for Procurement Materials Management and Logistics.
Since 1983 she worked in various companies to gain experience as controller and buyer.
In 2003 she took over the position of a deputy Purchasing Manager and technical buyer at a major automotive supplier and she was responsible for strategic and tactical purchasing.
From 2006 to 2007 she was employed as Project and Team Manager, at an international Corporation with the responsibilities for Procurement, Controlling, Inventories and Logistics.
In 2007 she joint Q-Cells as a Project Manager with the assignment to reorganize and improve the processes in the Procurement of Capital Equipment. After successfull completion of this project she took over the responsibility for the Department “Procurement Capex.”
She managed and supported very much Procurement of Capital Equipment for Q-Cells Malaysia to ensure the timely start up in Malaysia.
Since 2009 she is Managing Partner of the IMfPES GmbH in Leverkusen.
The main accomplishments in solar industry (abridgement)
- Responsible for Procurement Coordination for a 120MWp Production line at Q-Cells
- Procurement of the wet benches and the Automation Equipment for the 300 MWp Production Line for Q-Cells Malaysia
- Company Audit of Capex Suppliers
- Very good relations and good knowledge of the main Suppliers for Wet benches
