ICT – Die Projektfabrik

After successfully obtaining a vocational qualification as a precision electrical engineer in the power station field, he went on to study electrical engineering. Following his studies he worked in the German heavy industry sector as a planner and project manager.

In 1966 he co-founded a company which rapidly developed specialist expertise in the field of non-destructive material testing, and which became the global market leader.

In 1983 he set up the Swiss company ICT AG. This initially focused on the planning and construction of machinery and equipment. It resulted in the design and construction of complete production plants in various specialist sectors.

In 1998, while engaged on a project in Russia, he encountered the material silicon. For Russia he planned a 200 mm mono-crystalline ingot and wafer line for the semiconductor industry, and acquired knowledge and understanding of the PV industry.

From 2000 to 2002 he planned and built the first mono-crystalline ingot and wafer plant for the PV industry in Germany. Today this is part of the Bosch Group. This project was followed by consultancy work, calculations, plans, studies, business plans and project management in the construction of such works, worldwide.

His company also builds such turnkey production plants as a general contractor.
